As we head out to sea, be with us, as we sail along, knot by knot. We know this journey is quite a tedious one. We know that every wild monumental wave which crashes onto our boat, can drown us. However, with your grace and command, those same waves can turn into mere insignificant ripples. If we were to encounter storm or tempest, we are reminded of how you calmed the Sea of Galilee, and that gives us immense hope and solace. As you know Lord, our fishing occupation is fraught with immense dangers and perils; which affect our entire families. We ask you Lord, to help us, as we struggle to survive against all odds, give us strength to overcome all hurdles, and guide us on the right path, protect us while we are at sea, and at the same time do take care of our loved ones at home. We ask you to grant us the fruit of our hard labour and in your goodness, give us a rich haul of fish. Then as we sail back, You Lord, be our Beacon of light, to guide us to the safety of our shores.
